Redesigning a Website Ahead of a Major Trade Show
Talos Engineered Products is a community-focused commercial services company with a strong reputation and an engaged internal team. What they lacked was a website that reflected who they were today.
Their existing site was built on an outdated WordPress template that was difficult to manage, visually dated, and not aligned with how the company actually worked.
With a major annual trade show approaching, timing mattered.
The Challenge
Talos needed a website that:
Looked professional and modern
Was easy for the internal team to manage
Integrated with existing in-house systems
Could be launched without disruption or data loss
This was not just a design project. It was a transition that required coordination across marketing, IT, and leadership.
The Approach
I worked closely with Talos’ internal marketing team to redesign and redevelop the website on Squarespace. The platform change allowed for easier updates, lower long-term costs, and better day-to-day usability.
The project included:
Full site redesign and development on Squarespace
Content migration from the previous WordPress site
Copy rewrites and data cleanup to ensure accuracy
Integration with multiple internal applications
Leading up to launch, I partnered with their internal IT team to ensure the transition was seamless and ready ahead of the trade show.
The Results
Talos launched a fresh, modern website that:
Clearly communicates their services and values
Is easier for the team to maintain
Supports both current customers and prospects
Successfully launched ahead of their largest annual event
The new site now works as a functional marketing tool rather than a liability.
