Designing an Immersive Leadership Experience for Women in Turfgrass

 
 
 

The GCSAA Women’s Leadership Academy is a multi-day leadership development experience designed to support and advance women in the turfgrass industry.

The program combines education, mentorship, and networking to help participants grow as leaders and professionals.

The Scope

The two and a half day event includes:

  • A keynote reception on the opening night

  • Structured learning sessions focused on leadership development

  • Guided discussions and networking opportunities

The curriculum is organized around four core areas:

  • Self-discovery and personal leadership

  • Understanding and motivating others

  • Effective communication and collaboration

  • Inspiring change and impact

The program is headlined by Suzy Whaley, PGA Master Professional and the first woman to serve as President of the PGA of America.

The Outcome

The Women’s Leadership Academy provides participants with practical tools, meaningful connections, and a supportive environment to grow as leaders within the industry.
